Supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) throughout their lifespan is crucial for fostering independence and improving quality of life. Waves, Inc. exemplifies this commitment through our comprehensive services designed to assist both children and adults.
From early developmental therapy for young children to adult day programs and residential services, Waves provides continuous support tailored to each individual’s needs. This approach ensures that individuals with IDD can develop essential life skills, engage with their communities, and live as independently as possible.
Waves’ Early Learning Program provides services to young children who have been diagnosed with a developmental delay or disability. Highly qualified and experienced Early Interventionists travel to their homes or other sites in the community to work with families and other care providers.
Our Early Interventionists help families and caregivers integrate learning strategies into everyday routines such as mealtimes, playtime, bath time, diaper changing, and bedtime that encourage growth in all areas of development. They will help plan the home program and provide information and support that will facilitate your child’s development.
The Katie Beckett program offers a variety of services to individuals with disabilities and their families. This program allows eligible children and young adults to access essential services and support, which might otherwise be financially burdensome for families. The Katie Beckett Waiver empowers families to prioritize their loved one’s well-being, growth, and inclusion within the community. This program ensures access to specialized care and services and fosters a higher quality of life, increased independence, and greater opportunities for individuals to reach their full potential.
Our Adult Day Services program is designed to provide person-centered support for adults 21 and older with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). Through a combination of community-based and facility-based services, we aim to enhance the overall quality of life and promote the personal development of our participants.
Our Residential Service programs empower adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities to lead fulfilling lives while fostering independence and community inclusion. Through a person-centered approach, we provide comprehensive support tailored to each person’s unique needs, goals, and aspirations. Each Residential program is structured to help participants develop social connections, build relationships, and fully engage with their community. By promoting self-determination and autonomy, we aim to enhance an individual’s sense of identity, purpose, and overall well-being.
Employment Community First Choices (ECF) is a program comprised of several services that are structured to meet an individual where they are on their path to independence and provide the necessary training, resources, and opportunities to further their independence and connection to their community. With a focus on employment, community integration, independent living skills training, accessible transportation, and self-advocacy, our trained staff strives to empower individuals to live life to their fullest potential.
The holistic support structure offered by Waves empowers individuals to achieve their full potential, addressing challenges and celebrating milestones at every stage of life. By providing resources and customized programs, Waves not only enhances the lives of those they serve but also offers peace of mind to families, knowing their loved ones receive the care and opportunities they need to thrive.
