The Board of Directors and staff of Waves announces with mixed emotions the departure of Executive Director, Lance Jordan with a flexible exit date of May 1. Lance Jordan has been an integral part of our organization for many years, contributing significantly to our growth, success, and impact in the community.
Lance joined Waves in 1991 as a Direct Support Professional and went on to work in almost every position since then, leading to his promotion to Executive Director. During his tenure, Lance has demonstrated exceptional leadership, vision, and dedication, guiding Waves through periods of growth and transformation. Lance has played a pivotal role in Waves’ growth and success, and his leadership will be greatly missed.
Under Lance’s guidance, Waves has achieved numerous milestones, including the growth of the Early Learning Program, creating stability through the pandemic, and guiding the agency through it’s 50th Anniversary Celebration. His strategic insight, passion, and tireless efforts have been instrumental in advancing our mission and enhancing our programs and services.
Waves is grateful for Lance’s outstanding contributions and leadership. While we are sad to see him go, we are confident that he leaves behind a lasting legacy that will continue to positively impact our organization and the communities we serve. Rebekah Zeitlin, Board of Directors President shared, “On behalf of the board, I would like to share my immense gratitude for Lance and his thoughtful leadership. His dedication over the years has made this organization so special and his joyful commitment to our community and service recipients leaves an incredible legacy. We wish him only the best in his next chapter.”
An Executive Search Committee has been formed by the Board of Directors and community partners to begin the search for a new Executive Director. As the search unfolds, Waves remains committed to maintaining continuity in our operations and programs. We will be working diligently to ensure a smooth transition and to find a successor who shares our vision and values. With the flexible exit date of May 1, the Executive Search Committee is confident in its measure to find the next Executive Director to step in after Lance’s departure.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Lance Jordan for his dedication, passion, and service to Waves. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors and look forward to celebrating his accomplishments in the coming weeks.
