Katie McDonald

Katie has been part of Waves for over a decade and feels fortunate to have grown alongside the organization. Originally from South Georgia, Katie loves connecting with the community and being part of building it up from the inside—creating connections, supporting families, and working alongside intelligent, passionate people.

Katie’s work is influenced by the Fred Rogers’ reminder to “look for the helpers,” believing there is always something meaningful to be found in the people who show up, lend a hand, and make their communities stronger. Outside of work, Katie enjoys walking her dog in the park, watching the latest Netflix documentary, and supporting local arts.
