Waves, Inc. was presented with a new Toyota Sienna Mobility at Toyota of Cool Springs Thursday as a part of Toyota’s “100 Cars for Good” campaign.

From Oct. 1 through Nov. 19, Toyota launched an online contest by posting five non-profits a day on Facebook. The two organizations with the most votes were awarded a brand new Toyota of their choosing.

“It means so much that the community rallied around us to make this possible through their votes on Facebook. We’re honored and thrilled to receive this gift.” Executive Director Jennifer Krahenbill said.

Waves, which offers a broad range of support services to adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, chose a Sienna Mobility.

“It is so important that we have reliable transportation for our clients. This van is not only reliable, but it has additional features to assist individuals with mobility challenges. This will be a tremendous help to our clients and staff,” Krahenbill said.

The van will be used to transport individuals with disabilities to doctor visits, the grocery store, the Waves day program, and other trips throughout the community.

In its second year, Toyota’s “100 Cars for Good,” has donated 200 new vehicles to non-profits to support various services.
