The Preston Hester Memorial Scholarship Fund offers center-based and community-based services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are currently on the waiting list to receive funding for services.

Eligible adults are on the waiting list for the Tennessee Department of Intellectual and Developmental Services and/or TennCare’s Division of Long Term Services and Supports and are not currently receiving funded services through the State of Tennessee or through Private Pay. Applicants have the choice of applying for either three months of center-based services or three months of community-based services. Scholarships are awarded on a quarterly basis by the Development and Marketing Committee of the Waves Board of Directors.

The Fund is named after the late husband of Waves Honorary Board Member Betsy Hester, who served on the Board of Directors from 2008 to 2016. To donate to the Fund, please click the ‘Donate’ button below and select ‘Preston Hester Memorial Fund’ under Donation Type.
