Starting Friday, July 1st, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities not currently receiving Medicaid waiver services can apply for the new Employment and Community First (ECF) program. With the ECF program, Tennessee will become the first state in the country to develop and implement a home- and community-based services program that coordinates all health and long-term services and supports. The goal with this program is to promote and support integrated, competitive employment and independent living as the first and preferred option for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
